Our current system of garbage disposal in Lauderdale County is archaic and failing miserably at all levels of functionality and practically.  This system has a long history in rural areas, but has been abandoned by the other 81 counties in our state because of its many shortfalls and inconveniences.  This website was established by the citizens of Lauderdale County to voice our stand in a unified way to the elected officials of The Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors.  It is our hope that governing body will hear the public’s call for a better Lauderdale County and that they will address the issue.  We believe that with proper consultation and feasibility studies, they can find a safe, economical and ecologically friendly means of garbage collection and disposal that will better serve the county government and its citizens.
